Haven't been to Amsterdam for many, many years and can't say I like it over much - once you've done some of the cultural stuff, it always seems to end in a coffee bar smoking some industrial strength weed and not even making it to the more interesting bars & clubs, which you'll find just by walking round - the centre's not very big. Don't know if the legendary Melkweg club is still going, but it was tremendous about 15 years ago
