Is this a good time of the year to sow a little grass seed?
Nasie Jr and his chums asked me yesterday if they could dig a hole in the garden. Yes I said, and fetched them a spade from the garage.
Three quarters of an hour later I am summoned to the garden to see the hole they've dug and filled with water. Expecting to find a hole next to where we planted three sunflowers last summer, I find they've actually dug a bloody great crater right in the centre of the lawn...and not much earth beside it. Appaerently most of it was tossed over the garden fence onto an adjoining property's own garden. Oh joy!

- Grass seed should be sown either in spring or autumn. In southern UK, autumn is slightly (General Chat) - malkybarkid, Oct 3, 21:31:25
