Reserves game last night was entertaining.

I was there with Mrs Brooke and Buckley. That's the plural of Mr, to clear up any confusion.

Garrrrrrrrrrry managed to disturb a nearby young lady by shouting "SEX" very loudly when Wilbrahamovic miscontrolled. He then called the Villa players ensemble a "bunch of brummie counts" (I think).

No, it was "c**ts" now I consider it more deeply.

Anyway, good game, end to end, played in a good spirit, football was the winner, etc etc. All but two of our starting 11 had first team experience and we played pretty well. Holters worked very hard and took it very seriously, Marters showed some lovely touches, nearly scored a couple of times, and played a few visionary passes to no-one in particular, Wilbers took his goal well, Surmers and Lappers hit the woodwork and generally looked stylish, Rudders didn't have much to do and couldn't do anything about their (deflected) goal, Laters alternated with Francers at right back and central defence, Ballers looked neat, and Drurers looked old (unfortunately). Only one I hadn't seen before was Harry Barkers at left back, who looked quite competent for a 12 year old.

Then a pint, then home to rest my weary liver.
