and during the general anger on here at the time, meant people resorted to petty swipes about any players here being Scottish

I just found it a spectacular u-turn a year later that he was suddenly a quality player because he wasn't in the team.

Whilst Lappin was at Motherwell, none of us gave a s**t. But when our results or league position became more serious, he was suddenly world class

I notice no one tries to suggest he's been treated terribly under Lambert

Some managers just don't rate players, it happens
