Do you have ethernet ports in both PC & laptop?
In which case you can probably use a crossover cable to create a sort of mini-network of the two.
USB is not peer-to-peer so it's likely near impossible to do; FireWire is peer-to-peer, so you might be able to do something with that.
If there is not too much data, you could zip it up & email it to yourself.
