Its interesting you suggest we go back to the diamond and away from the wingers......

I personally think thats the way Lambert will probably go this weekend but will probably have both Bennett and Pilkington on the bench so he can change things if its not going well........

I have been really impressed with Tierney so far, he is one of the few players in the team who has made the position his own.

I like Bennett but he needs to deliver better quality crosses than he has so far in my opinion.
Too many floaty crosses rather than whipped in.

Floaty crosses are not going to fool too many PL defences.

Jackson needs a mention, has seen Vaughan come back from injury and straight ahead of him.
Clearly 5th choice at the moment, that may change.

I agree with your points about creating chances but I think you need to allow for context.

To stay up we probably need to score around half the goals we scored last season.

We always knew that we would get less chances than we did last season and score less goals.

We have to be careful we havnt been spoiled by the crazy free scoring over the past 2 years.

I think we will get a far better picture of the team after 10-15 games.

It may be too early for any of us to read into anything at the moment especially with so many personel and formation changes.........
