I don't agree with that at all

the game has quite enough excitement already without some dubious added 'excitement'. Video refereeing has improved cricket, Yank football, rugby etc. You never hear fans harking on about when they used to have the excitement of the ref to whinge about.

Refs have too much influence over games and their f**kups cost too much. I don't blame them, they can't possibly see everything at real speed - even more reason to change things
