There is more than a hint of Robert Chase in this situation. Eddie Mitchell saved the club from going bust, ran the club while the team battled a ten point deduction in League 1 and a 17 point deduction in League 2, which they survived, saw them back to League 1 and the play off finals the following season, where they lost to Peterborough.
On the other hand, Mitchell has made 4.5m from the sale of the clubs players, plus the compensation from Eddie Howe leaving to Burnley a day after publicly announcing to the fans that he was staying, yet only has ?400k to replace them with. The club have not had a good start to the season, currently second-bottom. True, some of these fans in the video are hangers-on, who had never been to a game until last season. But this situation still makes me sad.
