This is what I do.
My lappy is too crap to have an HDMI output, but my TV has VGA-input, so in effect the lappy just thinks it's now connected to an external monitor.
If your lappy has HDMI, just get an HDMI lead, as per Sky HD->TV, or PS3 -> TV.
Otherwise, a bog standard VGA cable, alike the old PC-> monitor will do the trick.
Got the Wigan game on there a treat the other week.
