Here goes

You take a number: x and then you multiply it by 2 and you get 2x.

You then add 5 = 2x+5

Multiply it by 50 = 100x + 250

Now the reason you add 1754 if you havent had your bday is that 1754 + 250 = 2004, the last time you had a bday. If you have then it is 1755 + 250 = 2005

So basically you have 100x + 2004 or 100x + 2005

Now you take away you year of birth

ie 100x + (2004 - 1980) = 100x + 24

If you initially chose the number 2 you have 200 + 24
= 224, ie the number of times you want chocolate and your age
