I dont have much experience of what you're talking about Dubs but what I will say is...

Try as hard as you can to go easy on yourself in this situation, its a massive responsibility mentally and emotionally to be that close to someone in such an unfortunate situation. Make sure you are aware of what it may be doing to yourself.

He's very lucky to have you.
