Not sure what our interest in Ayala means.

Does it mean that Wards injury is bit more serious than first thought or does it mean Lambert always wanted 5 CBs?

A wile back there was a discussion about carrying 4 or 5 CBs

5 is probably too many in a 25 man squad but its interesting that one of the players we were in for was Caluker, another CB who is under 21 and doesnt effect the 25 man rule.

Ayala makes perfect sense.

If you have 4-5 CBs, you almost always have at least 1 player either injured or suspended at any one time.

In the best case senario if we have 5 fit CBs we can always loan them out to champs clubs.

If we do end up signing Ayala it will be an interesting series of signings.

We started off by signing mostly the attacking players first and some of us were a little concerned that we needed more help at the back.
Have no fear, Lambert is here.
He has made some real quality signings at the back.

Why doesnt King Kenny throw in the other spanish Danni as part of the deal!
