I had the same problem and my footy friend who's a plumber came over...
and adjusted something inside with a screwdriver, not at the back but in the fridge compartment. Something to do with the compressor not on the correct cycle so it wouldn't know when to turn on or regulate the temperature. Or something like that, was after the footy and I'd had a few bears. :O)
