A few reflections on last night.

What the f**k? Why was it a 7:30 kick-off? I didn't check, as we always have evening games at 7:45, so as a result missed the first 5 minutes. Bastards. That's the EPL for you.

Anyway, I thought we played pretty well, kept possession nicely, but occasionally looked a little lacking in invention outside the penalty area. De Laet is good. Leon might be a worry when he has possession, but that's hardly news. Naughton looked better on the right than the left. Fox was Fox, I think he'll do well. If things go well, Hoolahan will be this season's Charlie Adam. Hopefully without the relegation. Johnson I'm still reserved about; some good things, some not so good. Bennet I do like, and I think he'll do good things.

Generally, I think, based on last night only, we look like a top, top team.
