King Arthur on BBC1 now - OK I can't claim to be an expert
and the whole legend is obviously dubious but has anyone read THIS version? Doesn't it place him three or four centuries earlier than the commonly known ones? And he wants to get home, to Rome? And Galahad and Lancelot are of similar age? Am I wrong to be confused, here?
It stars Clive Owen, who recently played Raleigh in Elizabeth, and in so doing not only sailed with Drake's Navy but also performed a daring underwater swim with a knife between his teeth.
What's going on with British Cinema? I thought only the yanks rewrote stories to suit the box office? Actors? Mercenaries.
