icket shot - one that's difficult to play, and very easy to f**k up and make yourself look foolish.
He's then saying that taking the idea of pulling a sicky one step further, by convincing your family you're off to work, but actually taking a change of clothes with you, is the equivalent of playing that difficult, audacious cricket shot perfectly, and hitting a six into the stand with it.
