but on top of that, he actually turned the club alot more forward thinking than it had been in previous years, pressurised the board to spend money and be more ambitious. He made some excellent signings (also poor ones but see Wenger and Ferguson) and turned players who were jokes and outcasts into fairly decent players, got rid of bad apples and it produced a pretty spirited City side.

That play-off season was immense, we hadn't come close for all them f**king years in the division. For years teams fancied beating us at Carrow Road, in that season and the 2 seasons after, our ground was a tremendous fortress with an excellent 'feel-good' atmosphere generated by the 'togetherness' the club had. He has had excellent judgement at times - Huckerby and Crouch for example, the way he conducted himself in the lead up to the Wolves semi and even getting Davenport here looks inspired.

Amongst the many negative stuff about him at the moment, I for one won't forget the good he's done for the club, just look at our attendences, he's given me the most amazing season of my football supporting life and a player I adored and ended 9yrs of hurt, ok we could and should have done better in the Prem and a different manager may have done better but we all make mistakes in our lives and careers and sometimes we don't learn from them - doesn't make us bad.
