you've hit the nail on the head

we weren't outplayed on saturday (as so often this season), we just didn't get the breaks. We didn't outplay many teams the year we went up, it was just that then WE were the team consistently getting the breaks.
What this demonstrates is that consistently under Worthy we play average Championship-standard football in which we neither outclass teams nor are ourselves outclassed. This is because Worthy is a bog-standard Championship-standard manager.
Now if (as the Board profess) we have ambitions to become an established Prem team that isn't good enough. Playing average Championship-standard football when you have average Championship resources is one thing, but given the money the clkub has raked in for being in the Prem, including parachute payments etc, it is no longer acceptable. It's not enough to "not be outplayed", we should be going out and outplaying people. Reading had several of their best players out on Saturday (Kitson, Sidwell to name a couple). For you to say there was "nothing between the sides" as a DEFENCE of Worthy is unbelieveable. That statement alone should condemn him. Sorry, but we will NEVER establish ourselves in the Prem under a guy who praises mediocrity so highly.
