Morison prob not as good as holt overall BUT

Holt has in hindsight been worth many millions to us and that is in l1 and champs let alone prem. Morison would add huge benefits in that he has more pace, meaning we dont compromise pace and movement in games where tactically we might want to play two centre forwards. In the past it would have been wilbraham up there, meaning that if they sat on Wes, we'd have to change to 4-4-2 just to create any space at all. Also means we don't struggle to hold the ball up when holt is injured. Also spreads the risk of one of them discovering that prem is a level too far. And finally remember how important holding the ball up in the opp half is in the prem. Ping ponging from defence was a big reason for going down last time.

So basically is he a 3m player ? Probably not. Is he worth 3m to us ? He could turn out to be worth much more. At 28 he us no investment so the 3m is invested against survival not profit.

And don't forget Lambo factor. We weren't all that impressed by holt the first few games and had some doubts about him delivering at champs level !
