Football fans are a fickle breed.

Look at West Ham. All their supporters wanting Pardew out, calling him all the names under the sun for the last couple of seasons. Now they're Top 5 in the Prem and suddenly he is God, and can do no wrong in their eyes.

With the good times, you're going to have to take the bad times when they come. We ALL, without exception have the best interests of Norwich City Football Club at heart. We want success. We want to be playing back in the Premiership. We want to enjoy the good times again. But, how does calling our manager all manner of names under the sun, and the constant barracking of some of our players is going to help improve our fortunes?

I'm as disappointed as the next person is, about the way things are going at the moment. I have views on where I think we're right, and more to the point at the moment, where we're going wrong. Certain tactical decisions have baffled me, and I'm frustrated to see some of our best performers being substituted. I'm dismayed by the apparant lack of togetherness and team spirit that served us so well in our promotion season. It was that very factor that made the difference between us and Reading yesterday. I'm frustrated that nearly a dozen games down the line we're no closer to working out what our best team is, and what formation to play them in.

It's understandable in the heat of the moment, during the game, that when things don't go our way, our frustrations will spill over at times. I will often be as verciferous as the next person. What I can't comprehend though is the downright abuse and slating of our club in the cold light of day, because that is what it boils down to. It shames me that some people can be so vitriolic towards the club that they care for and are so passionate about. We have our favourite players from over the years, but it's the club we support, NOT individuals. They come and go. Norwich City will be with us for life, and hopefully for many generations to come.

Quite a few of us it seems, need to decide what it is we want from the football club we support.
