ha ha, on question time the other night, that woman from liberty got a bit annoyed at

the human rights debate on prisoner voting. Someone suggested it might help them think twice about crime

Although she agreed it's part of their general rehab, she got annoyed at the suggestion that a criminal could talk themselves out of a current crime because of voting rights, and she said something like

"I doubt very much that someone who's about to throw a brick through a shop window to steal a television, is going to stop and say to themselves 'hang on, if I do this, I won't get a say in the AV referendum' "

To which the camera panned back and you could visibly see the others smiling and wanting to laugh, whilst Ken Clark was just laughing his head off. I don't think she even said it to get a laugh, she was just chewed off at hideous suggestions
