Is this article tongue in cheek or is there an undercurrent of animosity in that piece

Seems to me Citeh fans whilst enjoying their "success" still distinguish between "true" supporters and glory hunters and are resentful of how closely they may resemble United now when they've mocked that kind of following for so long.
