I think it was more than fair

He was decent before Christmas of the relegation season, there were rumours of a move which didn't come off, then he seemed very much distracted after that.

I remember reading a post some where about his wife or g/f resigning her job as a teacher or nursury assistant at the end of the season as she knew they'd be off pronto.
