It was worse in the 80s
I was in the Drum and Monkey when it got wrecked, but that was a bit surreal. There was nothing happening and then the police shepherded some blokes in and they just tore it all up. It's the only time I've seen a really serious incident and even that was over in a couple of minutes.
People like to talk these things up, I think. Hooliporn.
