speaking as a 'worthy-basher'

have to say I am heartened by a couple of decisions he's taken over the last two games - particularly to drop some of the usual suspects and try something different. Once again it feels like he's caught up with what the fans have been saying, rather than is leading, but an improvement nonetheless.

If he's finally willing to drop his favourites, and give others a chance, that's great. And at least it hasn't taken him nearly as long as last season.

But the other big problem - namely what happened in the transfer market this summer - remains. If we get through the season without having a major - and in my view completely predictable - midfield crisis, then I'll admit I was wrong on that. But way to early to be making that judgment yet. The signs on Hooze are promising, but we WILL find ourselves without Safri for chunks this season. Will we cope? And what happens if we lose one of Hooze or Jarret as well?
