If clubs could legally bet on themselves it would a fantastic hedge if you could get a bookie to take a big enough bet.

As an example in the final playoff game at wembley the winners get 90+ million and the losers get jack s**t.

If legally possible it would be nice if a team could hedge against losing.
Say 10-15 million, even if you lost you would have a nice pot to start next year with to have another run at it.
