Steve in clogland
The piccy of the Bill Oddie departing his Warrior whilst getting a wee bit hot under his collar cleary shows the cunning cheesecutter to the right of his burning arris. The guy in the pic is exiting the vehicle to the rear and the cheesecutter is the pole with a notch in it to the right of him facing forwards. At the beginning of the war the locals thought it would be a wheeze if they stretched wire across roads at head height when patrols came down their leafy suburbs. Tired of being decapitated, the resourceful Tommy Atkins welded a bit of angle iron in front of vehicle hatches which snapped the "cheesewire". It's not a new invention though but a good 'un all the same.
