holy f**k, surely that can't be right

I've got a mate who used to work for TNT so he claims to know about this and he reckoned I could and that I might even get away with no import taxes at all depending on the value of the bike.
I know that they have been fiddling around with the import laws in recent years though to encourage people to buy new cars, but bikes as well??
Well, thanks for the info. I'll look into this closely. Sadly, Chilean law officials aren't easily bribed and to ride an illegally imported bike that's one of a kind would be virtually impossible (or woudl require bribing a hell of a lot of people)
