Looking at last 10 seasons final tables
I don't think we are good enough to finish in the top two so have checked back on last 10 season final tables for Champ/First divisions.
The average point haul to get 6th place is 73.3.
Highest required for 6th is 75. 2001/2002 Norwich, 2005/2006 Palace, 2006/2007 Southampton.
Lowest required for 6th is 70. 2007/2008 Watford, 2009/2010 Blackpool.
Realistically, 7 points from our next 3 games and we are on 62 leaving us with 11 games to get a further 10 points to leave us on 75 meaning a new high for past 10 seasons would need to be broken for us not to make play offs.
Does that sound too easy???? On paper it looks done and dusted that we will make the playoffs?
