Here's a story for you LoJ (and a bit for Tim Berry at the end)
Parents were both life long City fans, Mum used to be a South Stander, Dad a River Ender. They moved to London in the early 1960?s for work, but were still keen supporters. When I was young we used to travel back to Norwich once every couple of months to stay with the Grandparents who lived off the Reepham Road, sometimes we stayed in Ashby Street. I used to go to see us play if we were at home, if not it was the reserves at Carrow Road. One memorable game was when City reserves beat Swansea reserves 6-3 and Steve Grapes scored a hat-trick!
I wasn?t born in Norwich, but was christened there; I?m hoping that counts?
First kit from Pilches (just like one of the Caps who posted on the original thread, will be seeing him on the train today) in 1971. I wore it to PE, much to the amusement of the rest of the class, but they got used to it.
Had to keep the Norwich City thing going in the family as my younger brother supports Spurs, and my sister now lives in Watford and her lads go to Vicarage Road when they can.
And one for Tim Berry who mentioned 3-3 match at West Ham. I was in the away end that game ? in the old chicken run at Upton Park as I went with a bunch of mates from work who were West Ham fans. It was a great game but a weird experience.
