Tomblanders Amaretti recipe of the day

Take a nice plumptious soft fruit (Nectarine as mentioned below would fit the bill nicely) slice the bugger in half and remove the stone (get an adult to help if you are using a sharp knife or industrial diamond edge surgical cutting tool). Place the half cut side up on a greased baking tray and pop a (ahem) knob of butter in the cavity (fnarg) fill up to the top with Ameretto and pop an Amaretto soaked Amaretti on top. Bake in a hot oven for twenty or so earth minutes and serve with cream.
