Help! advice on PC needed please.....

I have a laptop which was was working fine the other day but when i now switch it on, windows does not load properly and i am asked to load either in safe mode, load as per previous successful configoration, or load windows as per normal.

However, whichever option i choose windows does not load at all and it just goes back to the same screen. i cannot understand it as i haven't loaded anything at all onto the computer that would mess it up.

any suggestions what i should do?? could this easily be fixed by someone with more knowledge than me about computers? obviously i don't want the laptop to be buggered, but i am more worried at the moment about all my files i have on there - can these be recovered??? i've only had it 3 months and it had fine up till now!!!

if anyone has any suggestions on what to do or any ideas where i could take it to have a look at, i would be very grateful.
