Wothie`s comments about Fleming
on the pinkun website are quite proper and appropriate. It is however very disappointing that he didnt extend such comments to Shackell.
Players like Shackell are the future of this club rather than Fleming.
Shacks` recent form , particularly the first half of the Watford game, has not been as good as last season. Playing next to Flem probably hasnt helped. He is however a great prospect and it would have been excellent man management by Worthie to have reassured Shacks in his public pronouncement that he too had a future at the club.
Young players of Shackell`s talent need nurturing and encouraging , not discarding.
