May i suggest...
that the improved contracts given to Lambert, Wes, Russell Martin etc to ward off interest from others in Jan. were financed by the mass exodus of recent days? I have my doubts there was any last minute activity and that it was known at the time of signing Tierny, he would be the last in January.
