Expanding the ground...... do we need 35,000 capacity?

From the AGM the proposals are that we need a 35,000 ground for the prem but we would need at least 2 years in the prem to think about it.

As pointed out the "extra tier" is a non-starter with the best option is to knock down the whole stand and start again.
The cost is estimated at 20 million and would need 9 years to break even.
Thats 9 years of filling it....... probably not likley in the champs.

Here are some cheaper suggestions to increase our match day capacity.

Our REAL matchday capacity is currently around 26,500

If we could move away fans into a corner we could reclaim the 3-400 wasted seats in the jarrolds used to divide fans.

Would a cheaper option be to buy all the remaining ownership in the hotel and then build a new corner stand in front of it giving us and extra 2-3000.
(maybe even a temp stand there could be an option for certian fixtures)

This could bring the REAL matchday capacity up closer to 30,000 for a fraction of the estimated 20 million and none of the hassle of losing the main stand for a period of time.

I would think 30,000 is more than enough in the prem for most fixtures.

I think most people who want a ticket will get one.
