The Tap, the Howard and the Globe?

The tap I would recommend to anyone at any time, particularly if you're an ale drinker - the range of beers they've got on is brilliant.

The Howard is just a bog standard City boozer. I haven't been in in years, but it was always OK. But only OK - not great.

The Globe is quite small too, and I was a regular hound there as a student, becuase it's near one of my old campuses. But it's OK for a student pub.

I do heatily recommend the Devonshire Cat (on Wellington St: User Posted Link ) and it's not too far from Bramall Lane - great pub, one of the best in the City, quite large, fantastic range of ales.
