"Going for it this year".............

OK, the transfer window is far from shut and we do have the loan market but I am getting slightly edgy.

The talk before the window was that if we are in a decent position we would "go for it" in the window.

Looking at the prem, its so tight at the bottom, all relegated teams will probably get over 35 points.
Meaning next year will be incredibly tough for us to get promoted as almost certainly all 3 teams coming down will be strong.

We brought in Wilbraham and Tierney but Tierney is just a straight squad swap for S Smith who is leaving.
With Drury playing he probably wont have a huge impact.

The talk from Lambert is that we are looking in bringing just one more player!

If we dont get Lansbury back on loan we might not actually be in that much better of a position than before the window.

I don't know how most people feel but it just looks as if we will probably make the playoffs but its going to be tough to make the top 2 unless we can add the extra 1 or 2 quality players that will get us extra points in the 2nd half of the season.

Don't get me wrong, making the playoffs would still be an incredible achievment overall this year.

I do feel we have a lot to be positive about, especially when Ward, Surman and Hughes are back.
We have a good group of centre backs overall.

We have a good squad no doubt but do we have a championship winning squad currently?

If you don't think so then maybe we still need to "go for it" a bit more before the window closes.

Doesn't look like we will...........I hope Lambert and the board prove me wrong........
