Not wishing to speak for others without their consent, but I will anyway.

The thing is we know who we are. We're Norwich. Neither big nor small. I doubt we'll ever come close to being Premier Champions in my lifetime. We might flirt with the occasional FA Cup Semi-Final appearance. We might get promoted and do a Wigan/Birmingham/Fulham/Bolton style consolidation, or we might become the next West Brom. Who knows?

The bottom line is we wanted Lambert to stay, because of the good work he's done, and the 'togetherness' he has brought back to the club, particularly amongst the fans, and the thoughts of even better times ahead.

I actually thought he was off today. I would have been pissed off, purely because it would have been a huge loss, but would have wished him all the best, if for nothing else than returning a degree of optimism to the club.

Let's be honest, he will leave, probably sooner rather than later. My wish is that he gets us up and stays for one season.

However, if he had have left today, I think that other than the most retarded of fans (insert suggestions here), no-one would look back at his time here with anything other than positive memories.

How many of you lot are now feeling the same about Mr Royston Keane?

Off to do a cock-tummy-slap w**k off. See Ya!!
