Lambert
If Burnley manage to pull this (which to anybody in the wider world of fotball is just seen as a cheeky approach) off would be remarkable indeed.
Reasons not to go:
Norwich are 3rd, Burnley are mid table.
Smaller and more fickle support.
Location. Burnley anyone? It's a dump.
It's represents no significant career advance for Lambert.
Reasons TO go:
Burnley are solvent. We are not, so there will be more money available IN THEORY to sign players.
They might have offered him a better wage, which our board should be countering as I write this.
As an aside, I read on a Burnley board last night (and you have to appreciate that a sizable majority of their fans suffer from a 'big club' mentality that makes West Ham look like Leyton Orient) that Lambert will go to Burnley because Norwich is a City with no clubs for miles around, whereas Burnley is a small town with many other big clubs in close proximity.
It's a cheeky bid from a club who are still hurting from losing Owen Coyle to an established premiership outfit.
