Poach Lambert from Colchester. Incur large compensation fee, which is duly paid. Let Lambert take us to the top of the Championship. Allow Burnley to poach Lambert. Request large compensation fee from Burnley to cover losses from previous the Colchester pay-off. Hire recently-sacked Premiership manager for the job. Pay no compensation fee.
Very clever.
