PNE
Ritchie de Laet and Josh King were on short term loans that could and indeed have been recalled at any time.
Matty James was contracted on a season long loan and Man Utd had no recall facility, which i believe is the norm under such agreements.
They, however, made it clear that they wanted him back immediately and PNE were put in a position where ahem, it was in their best interests to tear up the agreement and let him return.
