Alan Bowkett............o ur chairman.

This is a guy who pretty much keeps out of the media unlike other football chairman.

I would think the vast majority of football fans around the country could not even name him if asked who our chairman is.

The recent figures released by the club are clearly excellent given our previous position after relegation.
(huge debt and really poor squad)

We now have a better manager, better board, better playing squad, bigger ground, more revenue and less debt.

We also have a long term plan to reduce/manage the debt while improving the playing squad.

They talk about "football people" but sometimes it takes experienced business people to come in and objectively look at the situation.

They also understood that its not just about cutting costs.
It's about increasing revenues by having a product on the pitch that people want to watch.

Just wanted to praise the work Alan Bowkett and the rest of the board have done over the last 18 months.

Also full praise to Delia and MWJ for bringing him in.

Lets not foget that Alan Bowkett was pretty scathing of how the club was being run under the previous chairman and CE.

You have to credit Delia for not picking a yes man when we clearly needed a man of Bowkett's experience.

I also credit Bowkett for taking on what he must have known to be an incredibly difficult job at the time.

I don't think our recent success is a fluke.

In recent years it was hard to spot quality in the board room, the dugout or on the pitch.

Now we have it in all 3, it's onwards and upwards.
