the Barclay upper was open to away fans (as it was originally meant to be) but Spuds fans, then Coventry fans, chucked cups of coffee onto the Barclay lower and generally absused the new stand, so away fans were then moved to the South Stand. Why Chase thought that would be a good idea in the first place, i really dont know!!
