Probably the worst ever England squad to win in Australia

Played two home series in the previous summer and lost them both... to India and New Zealand.

Following summer lost at home to Pakistan.

11 tests... didn't win a single one.

Windies out on their own as the best in the world. No South Africa and Sri Lanka barely out of nappies.

Probably the two poorest established test playing nations in the world at the time. The wooden spoon championship.

How we forget THAT too!
