Gill has only made five starts for City since joining from Exeter in the summer of 2009 and was shipped out to Posh for a four-game loan spell earlier this season.

"The gaffer gave me an opportunity to go and play some games, which I really appreciate, he's been unbelievable with me," he added.

"It was great to go out, play a few minutes at Peterborough, get a bit of rustiness out."

Lambert's got something about him, as if we didn't know already.
