a simple question ("Is Gary Holt back on the payroll?") and he completely bulls**ts them ("Nothing in it") doesn't that lead Archant to believe there is no point in asking the club because they will be lied to?

While the story is clearly a bit rubbish, I think City's reaction to it is hysterical and way over the top.
