Alan Hansen
Apparently Spurs, after playing any Euro game in midweek, are usually a bit laconic at the start of the next game.
If I call a plumber round, I expect him to be able to fix my leaks. At work, if we take on a new FLT driver, we expect him to be able to operate the equipment. Is it too much to expect a professional broadcaster to use words correctly?
"That's a great hit - he's decimated the bar there".
Mrs Malaprop was a figure of fun. Kids are going to quote Hansen. Sack him.

- Perhaps they are laconic. The ref comes to tell them to stop pushing in the penalty (General Chat) - Bravo win or die, Oct 24, 09:19:13
- So would I. Wouldn't it be preferable if they use it correctly, though? (General Chat) - Sugbad The Bad, Oct 24, 09:26:57
- I just wondered if Hansen had spotted they are a bit less chatty at the start of a match. (General Chat) - Bravo win or die, Oct 24, 09:41:31
