I think if you use more than one apple product then it's very beneficial. It's excellent for syncing calendars, contacts, safari bookmarks. For me it's brilliant and the best ?45 I've invested in (buy it off of eBay). I couldn't do without it. Also there's the bonus of the "find my iPhone/iPad" feature so if it gets stolen you can track it. Luckily I've not had to use it but there are many testimonies online of police using it to help recover your devices.

In short, I love it off.
