Are we in danger of 'rewriting' history when it comes to Glenn Roeder?
I know it was all a bit s**t at the end but didn't he drag us out of the mire in his first season?
With hindsight we should have let him go after that first season but my shaky memory recalls he did all right in that first spell.
Ultimately the one big f**k up was the over reliance on loan signings - although if he'd looked back over previous seasons and seen the impact of players like Hucks and Crouch you can see why he maybe thought that was the way to go.
