When he first came on the scene he WAS a midfielder (IIRC) and scored a stunning solo run and curler away at Villa park in THAT season. A good player in his day, just unfortunate that he stayed too long when he'd gone s**t and suffered what a lot of our full backs have suffered over the years (not being Mark Bowen or Ian Culverhouse) .....
